1. France: Emile Boutmy Scholarship @ Sciences Po
Eligibility: First time applicants, from non European Union states, whose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and have been admitted to the undergraduate programme. Awarded on merit and according to the profile of the type of student sought for this programme. Social factors will also be considered.
Value: a tuition fee grant of between 3,600 and 13,190 Euros per year for three years, automatically renewed if you decide to continue to graduate level studies
Application: Indicate you wish to be considered for the scholarship in the ‘Financial Information’ section of the Sciences Po application form. Proof of income and financial documentation will be requested if admitted. Deadline in February.
2. Canada: Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship @ University of Toronto
Eligibility: Open to international students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity, and who are recognised as leaders within their school. Looking for students who have had a real impact on their school and community, and who aspire to contribute positively to the global community in the future.
Value: approximately 37 students each year. Covers books, tuition, incidental fees and full residence support for all 4 years.
Application: Initial nomination by your high school (November deadline) and apply for undergraduate studies at UofT, then complete the online scholarship application form (mid-January deadline). Decision by the end of April.
3. USA: Stamps President’s Scholars Programme @ Georgia Tech
Eligibility: Citizens or permanent residents of the US or citizens of the United Kingdom. Looking at a student’s contributions and achievements over 4 pillars: scholarship, leadership, progress and service. Awarded to the top 1% of 1st year applicants – 20 Georgians and 20 residents of other states/UK
Value: four year, full ride scholarship covering tuition, mandatory fees, housing, meal plan, books and academic supplies, personal expenses, and a stipend during the first year for a laptop.
- $12,000 enrichment funding for pillar-based international experiences, unpaid internships, unpaid research, conferences, etc.
- Mentoring for each cohort by two dedicated professors Annual cohort retreats including one outdoor leadership Tech Trek. Trek destinations have included breathtaking areas of Alaska, Belize, Canada, Croatia, Iceland, Montana, the Minnesota Boundary Waters, and Scotland.
- Academic Search for Knowledge (ASK) Expeditions including outdoor adventure and urban study, planned by students and professors.
- One-on-one mentoring from professors, program staff, alumni, and current scholars.
- Access to special speakers, employment opportunities, dinners, and receptions.
- The complete Georgia Tech and Atlanta experience.
- Priority housing during your first year.
- Access to the Stamps Scholars network
- Opportunity to attend a biannual Stamps Scholars National Convention with scholars from nearly 40 universities across the country.
Application: Must apply Early Action for Georgia Tech – no additional requirements to determine the semi-finalists. Around 325 selected semi-finalists are invited for a virtual interview and asked to submit supplementary documentation, including a resume. Around 100 finalists will be invited to a Scholar’s Weekend – two day campus event. 40 President’s Scholars will be named from this group.
4. USA: Foundation Fellowship @ University of Georgia
Eligibility: First and foremost for students who meet a very high academic threshold; leaders in schools and communities; possess special artistic, athletic and other talents; intellectual curiosity about the world; and have a commitment to share their knowledge and gifts. Students must have submitted the Early Action First-Year Admission application in order to be considered
Value: Annual stipend, individual study-travel grants, spring group study-travel (one domestic and two international trips), research and academic conference grants, and a post-first year study abroad program at Oxford University
Application: After submitting your Early Action application, you will receive a “Next Steps” email and be able to commence your scholarship application. After application review, around 50 applicants are invited to interview at a mandatory interview weekend.
5. Scotland: International Excellence Scholarship @ University of St. Andrews
Eligibility: An undergraduate student with overseas fee status. Medical and BA International Honours students are excluded. Gifted students with academic excellence – must be in the top 10% of your high school. Successful students will perform an ambassadorial role and represent the university at a number of events.
Value: one award of £25,000 per year
Application: Statement of motivation (250 words), two references – one academic and one personal. Deadline 1st February. Apply through the Scholarships and Funding section of My Application.
6. USA: Trustee Scholarship @ Boston University
Eligibility: US citizens, permanent residents, eligible non-citizens and international students. Based on academic merit – many recipients have a 4.0 GPA and are ranked top of their class. Well rounded and demonstrate viewpoints, experiences or achievements beyond the norm.
Value: covers full undergraduate tuition plus mandatory undergraduate fees, renewable for 4 years if certain criteria are met. For approximately 20 students.
Application: Submit the Common Application and all required documentation for an undergraduate degree programme by December 1st. Complete the Trustee Scholarship essay on Common App as part of your BU application – 600 words, choice of two essay prompts.
7. USA: Trustee Scholarship @ Boston University
Eligibility: US citizens, permanent residents, eligible non-citizens and international students. Based on academic merit – many recipients have a 4.0 GPA and are ranked top of their class. Well rounded and demonstrate viewpoints, experiences or achievements beyond the norm.
Value: covers full undergraduate tuition plus mandatory undergraduate fees, renewable for 4 years if certain criteria are met. For approximately 20 students.

8. Sweden: Global Scholarship @ Lund University
Eligibility: Selective, merit based scholarship for students from outside the EU/EEA. Have a proven record of achieving consistently high grades and be a good fit for Lund’s programmes. Financial needs are not taken into consideration.
Value: Partial or up to full tuition fee. Scholarship % depends on the budget available for the student’s chosen programme/faculty. It has no reflection on the student’s level of academic ability. Recipients must be able to cover their living costs.
Application: Select Lund as your fist choice on the www.universityadmissions.se application website. Once you have made a complete application and paid the application fee, you will be able to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship application portal is available on the Lund University website during the application period. Students will have to upload a 600 word scholarship motivation letter
9. Germany: Global Fellow Scholarship @ Bard College Berlin
Eligibility: Apply for one of the BA programmes, intend to study at multiple Bard campuses during your degree, demonstrate financial need. Maintain a B average or better to maintain the award for the duration of your studies.
Value: need-based tuition waiver
Application: Submit your financial statement by the deadline stated for your chosen application plan. Typically Nov 1st for Early Action and Jan 15th for Regular Decision and May 1st for Late Admission (EU citizens/residents)
10. Australia: International Undergraduate Scholarship @ University of Melbourne
Eligibility: Have applied for an undergraduate programme or be a current student in an eligible undergraduate degree programme. Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and not a permanent resident of Australia. Have completed secondary school outside of Australia. Have secondary school results that place you in the top 3% – A Levels: at least A*A*A* + average of 93% in 3 best subjects / IB: at least 42 / US: GPA of at least 3.9 plus SAT of at least 1500 or ACT of at least 31.
Value: Either a 50% or 100% fee remission for a 3 year undergraduate programme. Or a $10,000 fee remission for the first year of studies.
Application: Students are automatically considered so no separate application is required. Scholarship offers are sent on a rolling monthly basis.
