  • Cost of living is around $450AUD per week (not including tuition or medical fees) for a single student to live comfortably depending on the type of accommodation.


  • Accommodation can be tricky to find in Perth so students are advised to plan ahead – it is not guaranteed for international students
  • The recently-launched UWA Accommodation Concierge is a new service that supports students in finding the right accommodation
  • UWA has a number of Colleges and Residence Halls that students can apply to join – each has a different vibe and students will have to complete a comprehensive application. These are often the first choice for students.
  • Purpose-built student accommodation and co-living properties are located in the City of Perth, Yugo, the Switch and Campus Perth – partners with UWA. These provide a community living experience, fostering greater independence.
  • Student-to-Student Housing option allows students to connect with fellow UWA students who are seeking roommates, have available rooms in their current accommodation or are looking for a UWA student to take over their lease.
  • UWA Hosted Accommodation – you are matched with a host based on your shared interests and proximity to campus. Hosts are often UWA alumni
